Native of Cinque Terre, Italy.

Attended culinary school and moved to Virginia in the late 90's, worked at Bonaroti restaurant, Vienna, Ritz Carlton Tyson Corner and Morrison House, Alexandria, before deciding to open his first restaurant Piero's in 2003 with wife Carmela
